Meet Marie LUDALIA

Orphanage Ministry
1 child = $250/month
currently has 5 boys and 7 girls

Orphanage

Business Plan in Brief

Why? Marie started her ministry in 2002 because one of her pregnant friends was going to have an abortion. Marie begged her friend to keep the baby and promised that she would adopt the baby when it was born. After this, word got out and more homeless children came to her looking for help and a place to live.  Currently, Marie hosts 5 boys and 7 girls.

How? Marie supports the children with her own money. She also has family members that help with the children when she cannot be at home.

Needs Marie’s biggest problem is that she does not have enough money or resources to support her kids. She hopes to expand her home but will need the help of donations in order to do so.

For food, clothing, and doctor expenses, it costs Marie $250 per child per month. Any donations would be appreciated and it would directly support an orphan Haitian.

Wants Marie’s ultimate dream would be to have a bigger house where all of her children and more can live in. Due to a lack of resources, Marie has turned away children because her house is not big enough to support them.

Mary Harmon Tyson is a collegiate student in her senior year with a double major in Accounting and Marketing and specializing in Professional Accounting with a certificate in Professional Sales. A native a Birmingham, AL, she will be graduating this December and plans to start work for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dallas, Texas.

Mary Harmon explains:  “I am extremely passionate about accounting and I am looking forward to starting my career. I am very thankful for my education and I strongly believe that it is important to share your education with those who need it the most. I have a heart for missions especially in third world countries. I would consider myself a big extravert and love spending time with friends and family. I am also a big runner and love doing half marathons in different cities.”

University Student Testimonial:  Why I Believe in Marie’s Business

“One of the major problems in Haiti is the amount of abandoned, homeless children there are. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see so many hopeless children who just wanted to be loved and have a safe place to live. Establishing orphanages and homeless shelters for Haitian children would save many lives and significantly impact the country. Maria Simeon has been moved by this need and has made it her life mission to do her part in helping with this problem.

I had the privilege of working first hand with Marie and helping her execute her dreams for her orphan home. This lady has the biggest heart and is the most selfless, giving person I have ever met. When I first told her I would be working with her, she lit up and immediately started thanking and blessing me. I was extremely impressed by how organized she with her plans, ideas, and needs. Because most of her time is spent caring for her children, she makes very little money. Her ministry is extremely tough to operate because she has no money coming in unless people donate. I believe in this lady and I can assure you that any amount that is donated would go towards meeting the essential needs of her children.”
